Where It All Started

Forage stands out as a neighbourhood restaurant with a deep commitment to its values, prioritizing locally sourced ingredients, hyper-seasonality, regenerative farming, and minimizing waste. Originally conceived by Matthew & Wendy Jamieson in 2012, the restaurant recently changed hands to a young local entrepreneur and longtime staff member Morgan Allen. Morgan's upbringing in the restaurant industry, following in the footsteps of her father, who has established successful restaurant brands like 12welve Bistro & Tapwerks and Events on 12welve in Whitby, Ontario.

Casual Dining

Upon entering Forage, guests won't encounter the typical decor found in many contemporary restaurants. Instead, they're welcomed by familiar faces among the local, long-term staff and a modern, cozy ambiance accentuated by artwork from local artists. Morgan envisions the space evolving gradually over time, aiming to cultivate an atmosphere that feels like stepping into her own home. With this warm invitation, she extends a heartfelt welcome to all to join her for dinner at Forage.
